MILEAGE RATIONING SPECIAL (1942) Jack Benny, Eddie Cantor, Burns and Allen, Dinah Shore, Bill Goodwin and Paul Whiteman and the orchestra encourage listeners to conserve fuel and observe gas rationing during WW II.
FREDDY MARTIN AND HIS ORCHESTRA (12-5-42) Remote broadcast from the Coconut Grove in Los Angeles. WW II songs include “Rosie the Riveter” and “A Cranky Old Yank in a Clanky Old Tank.”
WORLD NEWS TODAY (12-6-42) CBS correspondents with a review of the first year of America’s entry into WW II.
