He became a news writer on Chicago’s WBBM Newsradio in June, 1970 as a writer and quickly became the producer of the morning newscasts. We spoke in preparation for the book “WBBM Radio, Yesterday and Today” as he told several broadcasting anecdotes about his years as an anchor-reporter.
