OUR SPECIAL GUEST is producer/entertainer KEN MURRAY who talks about the great Hollywood days. This conversation was recorded August 6, 1971 while he was in Chicago promoting his book, “The Golden Days of San Simeon.” The interview is presented throughout the afternoon.
ACADEMY AWARD (8-7-46) “Watch on the Rhine” starring Paul Lucas. A German man and his wife are pursued and harassed by Nazi agents during World War II.
SCREEN GUILD PLAYERS (1940s) “Gildersleeve’s Bad Day” starring Harold Peary and the radio cast in this version of the RKO Radio Pictrure. Gildy gets called to jury duty in Judge Hooker’s court.
SCREEN GUILD THEATRE (10-16-47) “Bells of St. Mary’s” starring Bing Crosby and Joan Carroll. Father O’Mally and Sister Benedict try to raise funds for a new church school.
