He joined WBBM Chicago in 1967 just before the station switched to an all-news format. He was a news writer on the overnight shift and after 10 years became a general news reporter. We spoke in preparation for the book “WBBM Radio, Yesterday and Today” and he thoughtfully recalled incidents in his long and successful career on the air.
