Musician and leader of Horace Heidt and his Musical Knights, whose talent as a master of ceremonies brought him much radio fame and high radio ratings as host of Pot o’ Gold, Treasure Chest and the Original Youth Opportunity Program. He was born May 21, 1901 and was 82 when we met him in his office in Sherman Oaks, California. He died December 1, 1986 at age 85.
