He became Vice President and General Manager of WBBM Newsradio Chicago, when he arrived at the station in 1982, arriving from a long stint at CBS station KNX in Los Angeles. As we spoke in preparation for the book, “WBBM Radio, Yesterday and Today” he told of the role of the all-news station in the community.
