Recorded September 09th, 1987 - 57 min
He joined the staff of Chicago radio station WBBM as a writer in 1950 and became the station’s program director from 1958 to 1962. In his earliest assignments as a writer, he wrote for the legendary and successful “Gold Coast Show” which wrapped a slight comedy story around multiple recorded commercial spots. We spoke in his home in preparation for the book, “WBBM Radio, Yesterday and Today.”
