As we celebrate our 36th broadcast anniver­sary today, we bring you our last program from Arizona before returning to Illinois. To mark both occasions, we hope you’ll enjoy the fol­lowing appropriate adventure:

I LOVE A MYSTERY (11-21-49 thru 12-9-49) “Bury Your Dead, Arizona” starring Russell Thorson as Jack Packard, Jim Boles as Doc Long and Tony Randall as Reggie York, all of the A-1 Detective Agency. Avoiding the police, the detectives leave town by jumping a moving boxcar, where they quickly find they are not alone. They discover Maestro, a magician, and his female assistant Nasha. Later, when the train comes to a stop they discover they are within the city limits of the town of Bury Your Dead, Arizona… population: 19. The magician claims he has the power to turn humans into animals and changes his assis­tant to a wolf before the eyes of Jack, Doc and Reggie. Murder combines with magic during this exciting and puzzling adventure. Cast includes Mercedes McCambridge. Sustaining, MBS. (Complete story presented in five parts, each approximately 34 minutes.)
