61st ANNIVERSARY OF JACK BENNY’S 39th BIRTHDAY (Feb. 13,1994)
Honoring old-time radio’s favorite comedian on his centennial birthday. The event opens with a Benny video montage prepared by Brian Johnson. Chuck Schaden welcomes and interviews guests Joan Benny (Jack’s daughter) and Bobby Blumoff (Joan’s son, Jack’s grandson). Later Joan, as Mary Livingston, and Bobby, as a bakery man, join the Those Were The Days Radio Players, including Chicago TV weatherman Harry Volkman as Dennis Day, in the performance of an original script by Ken Alexander, who doubles as Senor Sy. This event was later broadcast April 30, 1994 on Those Were The Days. (Approx. 88 minutes) .
