George Ansbro

Announcer on all three major networks, serving the longest on the staff of ABC radio and television for over 58 years.  He announced such programs as Dr. I. Q., Young Widder Brown, Manhattan Maharajah, and appeared on network game shows, music programs, dramatic productions, and newscasts. He was born January 14, 1915 and was 84 when we talked at the Friends of Old Time Radio convention in Newark, New Jersey. He died November 5th, 2011 at the age of 96.
