The vaudeville and television comedian who became an Academy Award winning actor (for Sayonara) was appearing at the Blue Max night club in the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Suburban Chicago when we met to discuss his career.  He was born February 5, 1919 and was 55 at the time of our conversation.  He died July 13, 2006 at age 87.
