He joined WBBM, Chicago as a reporter in 1968 just before it became an all-news CBS outlet. He became a news editor and later the managing editor for the station. In a conversation in preparation for the book “WBBM Radio, Yesterday and Today,” he spoke of his time as a City Hall reporter for 18 years and talks about all the mayors and events he covered.
