Dennis Day

Valued member of Jack Benny’s radio and television cast for nearly 35 years beginning in 1939.  He was born May 21, 1917 and was 59 when we visited the singer-comedian at his antique-filled Mandeville Canyon home in Brentwood, California where he spoke fondly of his days working with Mr. Benny. He died June 22, 1988 at age 71.

  1. What a dear sweet man! All the accolades he was applying to Jack Benny could be said of him as well.
    I only have warm happy memories of listening to Dennis Day when I was little in the 40s and 50s.
    Would there ever be a chance of you folks making a CD or two or three of Dennis’s numbers on the Jack
    Benny show? What a treat that would be!
