We reached one of the Silver Screen’s most popular leading ladies by phone when we called her at home in Southern California.She was born December 10, 1898 and was 72 when we spoke with her about her long movie career which spanned nearly a quarter-century. Her most popular films included Cimmaron (1931); Roberta (1935); Show Boat (1936); My Favorite Wife (1940); Anna and the King of Siam (1946); Life with Father (1947). She died September 4, 1990 at age 91.
