Actress who created the role of Connie Brooks for the long-running Our Miss Brooks on both radio and television. She was born April 30, 1912 and was 62 when we met backstage at the Drury Lane Theatre in Evergreen Park, Illinois. She died November 12, 1990 at age 78.
Eve Arden was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 1995.

Just before my dad died in 1972 we went to see Eve Arden in “Under Papa’s Picture” at the Little Theater in Sullivan, Illinois. Your website is bringing back many memories and is really enjoyable.

A treat and a half. She was always my favourite comedic actress of the golden years of old Hollywood. Always dressed over the top, especially the hats. I think she was a milliners daughter after all. As they say – they dont make them like that any more!!!
