Barbara Fuller

Recorded June 15th, 1974 - 76 min

A versatile radio actress, she appeared on the much-loved Carlton E. Morse series One Man’s Family as Claudia, one of Henry and Fanny Barbour’s five children. She visited our Those Were The Days studio to talk about the series and her career. She was born July 31, 1925 and was age 48 at the time of our conversation.  Included in this live broadcast is an episode of His Honor, the Barber in which she appeared as “Judge” Barry Fitzgerald’s niece Susan.

  1. She’s the best!

  2. Barbara Fuller is my godmother whom I am happy to say is a healthy 96 years old as of March 4, 2018!

  3. Phyllis Coates, who was the last surviving member of the Adventures of Superman series, passed away recently. She was the first Lois Lane and by far my favorite of the two actresses who played that role but only during its first season. An episode from that memorable first season was one called “Crime Wave” and featured Barbara Fuller in it. Playing a Bad Gal. She is still alive as of this writing at age 102 and I would imagine is the only person still around from that first season and possibly the entire series as well which ended 66 years ago this month. Incidentally, I once met actress and songwriter Dolores Fuller when she was an old woman in Los Angeles about 30 years ago and asked her if by any chance was she any relation to Barbara Fuller. She informed me that she was familiar with the name but was no relation; not that many people I would imagine are familiar with who she was, but being a big Superman fan from way back I certainly am. I wish her the best for the rest of her days, and you can watch that episode anytime you want on the internet – and it’s a good one!
