Harry Volkman

Popular Chicago television weatherman who also has a love for old time radio.  Born April 18, 1926, he was 47 when he joined us on the air for this live interview.  The subject of our Those Were The Days program was “Forecast Fair Weather” and during the conversation he talked about his career as a meteorologist.  We also tuned in to a January 27, 1942 broadcast of Fibber McGee and Molly entitled  “The Blizzard”, which is included with the recorded interview.

Harry Volkman died August 20, 2015 at age 89.
