His career at WBBM, Chicago began in 1943 when he was hired to write continuity for the many “live” programs on the station. In a conversation in  preparation for our book “WBBM Radio, Yesterday and Today” he told how he became a producer  at WBBM and other Chicago area stations, writing for such personalities as Bob Elson and Cliff Johnson during his long and varied career.
