He came to WBBM Chicago in February, 1968 from station WJR, Detroit. It was a few months before WBBM adopted an all-news format. He eventually served as News and Program Director and then became co-news anchor of the station’s critical morning drive period. We talked about his long and varied career in preparation for the book, “WBBM Radio, Yesterday and Today” as he carefully described the scene of the switch to all news.
