He led the list of motion picture “stars of tomorrow” in 1943 and had a fine movie career, which included 15 years at Metro Goldwyn Mayer. He was born August 25, 1916 and was 55 at the time of our conversation backstage at the Arlington Park Theatre in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He died December 12, 2008 at age 89.
