Writer who provided material for Danny Kaye, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Jack Paar, Amos ‘n’ Andy, Al Jolson and many others on radio. In the service during WW II he helped set up many Armed Forces Radio stations in the Pacific. His career also included much work in television and movies. He was born December 18, 1918 and was 81 at the time of our conversation at the Friends of Old Time Radio Convention in Newark, New Jersey.  He died November 6, 2011 at age 92.
