Howard Koch

He wrote the script for one of the most talked-about radio plays of all-time, “The War of the Worlds” for The Mercury Theatre on the Air.  He was born December 2, 1902 and was 85 when we spoke with him on the phone just a few weeks before the 50th anniversary of that classic broadcast. He died August 17, 1995 at age 92.

  1. It was very interesting to hear the authers prespective of his play, “War of the Worlds.” It was aired 5 1/2 months before my birth. I would have liked to have known my parrents reaction if they had listened. Unfortunatly they are not longer living.

    I really enjoy the oppertunity to listen to these interfiews.
