Irv Kupcinet

Nationally known writer of “Kup’s Column” for the Chicago Sun-Times since 1948, his newspaper career began in 1935 as a sportswriter for the newspaper. He was born July 31, 1912 and was 64 when we interviewed him in his office. He told how his print career also touched radio and television and spoke of the newspaper’s “Harvest Moon Festival” which he promoted and emceed for many years. He died November 10, 2003 at age 91.
