John V. Leigh

Dr. Leigh was principal of James Giles School and, later, Superintendent of Schools in Norridge, Illinois for nearly 40 years. Chuck Schaden, a 1948 graduate of Giles School, invited his former principal to be a guest on Those Were The Days on WLTD. Their conversation was not about old-time radio, but about their school days “together”. Dr. Leigh was born in 1911 and was 64 at the time of this interview. He died April 23, 1997 at age 86.
