Frankie Masters

He started his musical career in college and later formed his own band, performing for dancers in and around Chicago, playing the College Inn of the Sherman Hotel for a four-year engagement. He was born April 12, 1904 and was 77 when he and his wife, singer Phyllis Miles, visited our studio in Morton Grove, Illinois to talk about his many late-night band remote broadcasts and his appearances on the Victory Parade of Spotlight Bands. He died October 28, 1990 at age 86.
