She joined the newsroom of WBBM Newsradio Chicago in 1983 as a free-lance reporter and anchor and became a full-time anchor the following year. We spoke in preparation for the book “WBBM Radio, Yesterday and Today” as she told how she became the first female anchor of the news on the station, working in morning drive time with veteran John Hultman.
