Wendell Niles

A trio of well-known network radio announcers plus actor Les Tremayne joined us for a “roundtable discussion” in the Pacific Pioneer Broadcaster’s Clubroom in Hollywood, California. John Milton  Kennedy (Lux Radio Theatre), Wendell Niles (Bob Hope Show), Dressar Dahlsted (Death Valley Days) and Les Tremayne (First Nighter) all spoke of their experiences during the golden days of radio. John was born December 23, 1912 and was 79 at the time of this conversation; Wendell was born December 9, 1904 and was 87; Dressar was born September 19, 1900 and was 90;  Les was born April 16, 1913 and was 77. Mr. Kennedy died June 11, 2006 at age 94; Mr. Niles died March 28, 1994 at age 89; Mr. Dahlsted died April 20, 1998 at age 97; Mr. Tremayne died December 19, 2003 at age 90.
