Lillian Randolph

Actress who appeared on radio as the Great Gildersleeve’s housekeeper Birdie Lee Coggins during the entire 16-year run of the series.  She was born December 14, 1898 and was 77 at the time we met her in her Los Angeles, California home.  She was waiting for a call to report to a film studio to appear in a segment of the upcoming television mini-series, “Roots”. She died September 12, 1980 at age 81.

  3. just watched France’s intro to the 2024 Olympics, and i miss the world this sweet lady came from. now everything that’s funny is offensive, and there’s no such thing as opting out of smut.

    oh and pretty cool that she was the headless housekeeper on Tom and Jerry!
