Ginger Rogers

Academy Award winning star of Kitty Foyle (1940) she danced, sang and acted her way into our hearts during a stunning film career that spanned more than 35 years. She was born July 16, 1911 and was 60 when we met during a promotional tour stop in Chicago. Her many film successes included Gold Diggers of 1933; Roxie Hart (1942); The Major and the Minor (1943); Lady in the Dark (1943) and all those wonderful musicals with Fred Astaire (1933-1948). She died April 25, 1995 at age 83.
