Did the sponsor Silvercup Bread have any influence over naming the Lone Ranger’s horse. Striker had already written a Robin Hood character who used silver tipped arrows. He got the Kemo Sabe name from a summer camp his father used to operate. The Lone Ranger revealed his face to Grandma Frisby who had adopted Dan Reid when his mother was killed in an Indian raid. He also showed his face to Butch Cavendish when Cavendish was dying after falling off a cliff, so that Cavendish would know who he was before he died.
