Barbara Luddy & Olan Soule

Co-stars for eleven years on The First Nighter Program, they also appeared together on Grand Hotel and Chicago Theatre of the Air. Individually she was heard on such shows as Road of Life, Woman in White, Shell Chateau and Lux Radio Theatre.  His solo credits include Bachelor’s Children, Tom Mix, Captain Midnight, Grand Marquee and Dragnet. Barbara was born May 25, 1907 and was 67 at the time of our conversation in Woodland Hills, California. She died April 1, 1979 at age 71.  Olan was born December 28, 1909 and was 65 when we talked in his Woodland Hills home.  He died February 1, 1994 at age 84.

  1. Barbara Luddy was the voice of Lady in Lady and the Tramp. Her voice is familiar to modern audiences. Olan Soule was a regular performer on Batman, Dragnet, and Petticoat Junction. Soule is of Old American Stock.
