Veola Vonn & Frank Nelson

Actors Frank Nelson and his wife actress Veola Vonn were in Chicago to participate in a Jack Benny fan railroad trip to Waukegan, Illinois and as stars of a special event at Jack Benny Junior High School. On the day before the occasion, they were guests on the Those Were The Days radio program where they talked about their radio careers and enjoyed listening to many clips of their radio appearances, which are included in this conversation. Frank was born May 6, 1911 and was 73 at the time of this live broadcast; Veola was born July 27, 1918 and was 66. Mr. Nelson died September 12, 1986 at age 75 and Miss Vonn died October 28, 1995 at age 77.
