John Harrington was my boss in 1970 when I worked for his station in Petoskey, MI.
I had no idea of Mr. Harrington’s broadcasting history but I liked him a lot. I find it ironic that when we started airing college football, Mr. Harrington took a chair on the other side of the turntables in main studio and coached me on taking our local commercial breaks. Here was a sports broadcaster who worked for some of the biggest stations in the Midwest coaching me a rookie just out of the service working my first broadcast job. Thanks Mr. Harrington.
