CAMPBELL PLAYHOUSE (12-24-39) Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” starring Lionel Barrymore as Ebenezer Scrooge, narrated by Orson Welles.  A classic hour-long broadcast version of the classic holiday story, immortalized on radio by Mr. Barrymore.

AMOS ‘N’ ANDY (12-24-50) starring Freeman Gosden and Charles Correll as radio’s all-time favorites.  The Christmas Show:  Andy wants to get a doll for Amos’ daughter so he gets a job as Santa Claus in a department store to earn one for her.  Later, Amos tells her the meaning of the Lord’s Prayer.  A classic show, repeated often through the years.
