HARRY JAMES AND HIS ORCHESTRA (12-1-45) Remote broadcast from the Meadowbrook Gardens in Culver City, “just a few minutes’ drive from Hollywood.” Vocals by Buddy DiVito and Anita Boyer. Buddy sings “It Might As Well Be Spring” and “There Must Be a Way.” Sustaining, MBS. (30 min)
KRAFT MUSIC HALL (2-28-46) Bing Crosby stars with guests Martha Tilton and Jerry Colonna. Regulars include Eddy Duchin, the Charioteers, Ken Carpenter, John Scott Trotter and the orchestra. Martha sings “Come to Baby, Do” and joins Bing and Jerry in a “Road to Utopia” sketch. Kraft Foods, NBC. (30 min)
GEORGIA GIBBS/PAUL WHITEMAN SHOW (6-24-45) Whiteman, “the dean of modern music” and “Her Nibs, Miss Georgia Gibbs” join with the Merry Macs for a program of pop music. Georgia sings “I Should Care,” “Ev’ry Time I Fall in Love” and “You Came Along from Out of Nowhere.” AFRS rebroadcast. (30 min)
JACK SMITH SHOW (12-14-45) Singer Jack Smith welcomes guest Martha Tilton for a quarter-hour of music. Jack sings “This Is It,” “I’ll Be Yours,” and “One More Dream and She’s Mine.” Martha sings “I’ll Walk Alone” and “It Might As Well Be Spring.” Earl Sheldon and his music. Oxydol, CBS. (15 min)
